NBC 5 & Telemundo 39 DFW is seeking a Marketing Director to lead the creative marketing efforts for both brands, with a specific focus on growing Telemundo 39’s Hispanic audience. The position reports to the VP, Brand and Strategic Marketing and will be responsible for creating and executing promotional strategies and a yearly event calendar.
Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies to define the brand both on-air and off-channel
• Utilize field research to build awareness and drive viewership
• Lead promotional efforts supporting the station’s news, objectives, and marketing activations
• Ensure all marketing initiatives extend and support the brand
• Oversee department workflow, ensuring high-quality creative output
• Collaborate with the Multiplatform Producer to create digital content for both NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 across multiple platforms
• Build and maintain relationships with external organizations to elevate both brands in the DFW market
• Work closely with the VP of Brand and Strategic Marketing on promo strategies to achieve ratings goals
• Collaborate with sales and community affairs teams for integrated marketing efforts
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of creative management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising, or communications (or equivalent experience)
• Deep understanding of digital marketing across various platforms
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
• Experience in local television marketing and promotions
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
