Telemundo New Mexico internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at Telemundo New Mexico are paid and do not require course credit.
Responsibilities:
As a News Intern for our station, you will gain the following experience:
Writing/Story Producing:
• Assist with script writing and translating for broadcast
• Create graphics for broadcast
• Log sound bites
Editing:
• Edit videos for linear and digital
Digital:
• Contribute to Telemundo 20 digital content and social media accounts.
• Write and translate scripts for digital
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish= both written and verbal with excellent grammar) being Spanish their strong language.
Desired Characteristics:
• AP style writing
• Write and translate scripts for digital
• Desktop video editing using Adobe Premier
• PhotoShop editing
• Interactive graphic development
• Use of content management system for digital publication
• Eager to learn
• Team player with a positive approach to work
• Self-motivated
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Eligibility Requirements:
• In pursuit of an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree at an accredited institution. Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of junior or above
Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
