Human Resources Generalist (Freelance/Temporary)
Job Description:
Tennis Channel is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to manage and administer HR policies and programs. This role will focus on performance management, employee relations, talent management, and compliance, working closely with various departments and employees at all levels. The position is a freelance/temporary role based in Santa Monica, CA, expected to last until early 2025.
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day HR support by responding to employee inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Manage the performance review process and employee training tracking.
• Handle benefits administration during annual open enrollment and manage employee leaves of absence.
• Assist managers with the recruitment process.
• Lead the new hire onboarding process, including conducting orientations and ensuring compliance with paperwork.
• Manage COVID-19 case administration.
• Update HRIS database records and process changes for new hires, terminations, and other status updates.
• Complete annual AVR survey and Santa Monica Emission Plan.
• Maintain organizational charts using Microsoft Visio.
• Participate in employee event planning and manage special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible human resources experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
• General knowledge of federal, multi-state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English and accurate grammar usage.
• Highly ethical, detail-oriented, and trustworthy.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CA Employee Transportation Coordinator certification or related experience.
• Experience in the entertainment, sports, or broadcast media industry is a plus.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this role is between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location.
