This is a Full Time Job
Responsible for managing and coordinating staff and facilities to develop new and improved media workflows, administer new technologies and achieve the highest levels of excellence in media integration and broadcast operations. The role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in logistics and operations. This position is critical in bringing together the knowledge of a modern broadcast media operation as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and adaptability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance workflow and productivity.
• Oversee the planning and execution of live broadcasts, including logistics, technology implementation, facility management, staffing, and coordination with vendors and partners.
• Ensure that all events meet or exceed industry standards and participant expectations.
• Oversee the daily activities of a live sports production operation, including staffing and facilities.
• Lead and manage a team of production and operations staff through accountability and continuous improvement.
• Discover and implement emerging new technologies into the broadcasts, including mobile broadband, cloud technologies, etc.
• Management responsibilities include camera operation, TOC operation, remote operation, lighting systems, training, and disaster recovery planning.
• Identify opportunities for innovation in implementing emerging new technologies into the broadcasts.
• All other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of ten years' experience in a broadcast operations environment with management responsibility for content delivery is preferred.
• Combinations of relevant skills, education, and experience will be considered.
• The ability to communicate technical issues and remain calm under pressure is essential.
• Self-starter, multi-task oriented with minimal supervision required.
• Ability to delegate responsibility to others.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
• Excellent decision-making and inter-personal skills.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends as game and event duties required.
