Job Summary: Applicant must possess an entrepreneurial spirit with an ambitious and innovative growth mindset. Assist in all aspects of the business operations for the Texas Rangers broadcasting department. Must have a strong desire to work in the sports industry, with specific knowledge of the game of baseball and a strong understanding of the business operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Seek and identify new creative opportunities for developing broadcast business growth.
• Assist the broadcasting department with developing new ideas based on analyzing consumer feedback.
• Help with identifying new product service offerings through capitalizing on additional areas of interest.
• Assist in identifying new technology or production methods to better the quality of the broadcast
• Facilitate and innovate new deliverables for use in developing and growing coverage opportunities.
• Review fan feedback & correspondence with fans in order to identify additional opportunities
• Assistance in other areas of the Broadcasting department as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience working in sports broadcasting, media relations, or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree or working toward a degree in Communications, Sports Management, Journalism, Broadcasting, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with broadcasters, media members, and fans.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with content management systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the baseball schedule.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
