Marketing Manager for Multicultural & Fan Engagement

he Multicultural & Fan Engagement Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing Texas Rangers brand initiatives focused on growing the next generation of Texas Rangers fans namely through multicultural and experiential marketing efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Lead the Fan Engagement team through strategy and implementation of fan engagement initiatives serving all emerging fan segments, with a focus on multicultural audiences.
• Responsible for the management of 2 Direct Reports: Fan Engagement Coordinator and Multicultural Content Coordinator,
• Oversee creation of assets supporting fan engagement initiatives, in addition to any sales opportunities (i.e. theme nights) targeted toward emerging fan segments.
• Serve as a liaison with both the MLB Diversity Marketing team and the Texas Rangers' Community Impact team.
• Vendor Management: includes issuing RFP's to qualified vendors, reviewing proposals, selecting vendors, and managing activation between vendors and properties.
• Relationship Management: Building and cultivating relationships internally and with those in our community to establish authentic and unique fan engagement opportunities.
• Resource Management: Ensure that fan engagement efforts remain within allocated fan engagement budgets.
• Project management: executing and/or supervising new project intake, assigning tasks and corresponding timelines to ensure on-time project completion.
• Market Research: Routinely research the fan engagement space and pop culture to ensure we are the leading fan engagement club in Major League Baseball.
• Utilize Business Analytics to identify relevant consumer insights and opportunities and track effectiveness of fan engagement efforts.
• Serve as the point of contact for any outside agencies/strategic partners that are contracted against Fan Engagement efforts.
• May be called upon for Spanish translations, copy editing and proofreading.
• The use of our digital project management software (Wrike).
• Support of internal and general market marketing projects as assigned.
• The ability to work select weekends or non-tradition hours based on event needs, namely during the baseball season.
• All other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, Business or Public Relations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Multicultural Marketing.
• Must have experience managing at least 1 direct report.
• Knowledge of Hispanic traditions and culture.
• Event Marketing experience is a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken).
• Positive and service-oriented attitude.
• Exceptional English and Spanish communication skills, including conversational, writing and grammatical ability.
• Detail oriented with exceptional multitasking and organizational ability.
• Ability to work in tight deadlines.
• Proficient in MS office, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience with Mac and Adobe CS.
• Must work well in a cross-functional team environment and possess strong interpersonal skills.
