This exciting opportunity will expose you to every facet of news, including several disciplines — from research and booking to topic origination and pre-interviewing prominent guests. The Associate Producer works in a fast-paced environment and can help propel you to a lasting career in cable news.
Responsibilities:
• Pitch stories and guests
• Compile research packets
• Conduct pre-interviews with guests
• Pitch and cut audio and visual elements for segments
• Book guests in the event of breaking news
Required Qualifications:
• 1+ year of news production experience on a national level
• Strong editorial judgment and skills
• Ability to work well in a team setting and effectively communicate with team leaders and anchors
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
