Project Manager
Reports to:
VP of Production Services
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee high profile production projects from pre-production through close-out to ensure that work is on time and all deadlines are met.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting on individual projects and your portfolio in the aggregate.
• Ensure that budgets, proposals, purchase orders and close outs are submitted in a timely manner.
• Ensure that crew and designer calendars are accurate and up to date through collaborating with PMs and schedule coordinator on a daily basis.
• Ensure that vendor invoices, expense reports and company credit card usage is properly documented and submitted to finance as required for proper AP, AR and Payroll processing.
• Work with equipment department/production gaffer for purchase and/or rental of project related equipment as appropriate.
• Mentor junior project managers as appropriate.
Requirements:
• The position requires an experienced person (over 10 years) who is highly organized, detail oriented, adaptable to rapidly changing circumstances, a solid team player who has excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Experience with project management software tools is a plus.
• Experience in entertainment lighting for theatre and/or television is required; field experience is preferred, and knowledge of broadcast television production is a plus.
• The position requires the ability to work the hours required to get the job done.
• A bachelor's degree is required and a certification in project management is a plus.
This is an in-person position, working at LDG's NY office as directed by the VP of Production Services.
