Overview
The Lighting Design Group, (LDG), an internationally recognized broadcast and entertainment lighting design firm in New York City, seeks an experienced Project Manager.
LDG is a leader in its industry and values its direct relationships among its designers, production team and freelance crew. We leverage this to provide the best broadcast lighting design and installation services for top broadcast networks worldwide. The Project Manager is an important member of our in-house production team.
Reports to:
VP of Production Services
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee production projects from pre-production through close-out to ensure that work is on time and all deadlines are met.
• Financial reporting on individual projects.
• Ensure that budgets, proposals, purchase orders and close-outs are submitted in a timely manner.
• Ensure that crew, gear, and designer schedules and logistics are accurate and up to date.
• Ensure proper tracking of vendor invoices, expense reports and company credit card usage.
• Work with the equipment department/gaffer for purchase and/or rental of project related equipment.
• Mentor junior project managers, as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Mandatory: 5 years' Project Management Experience
- Experience in Entertainment Lighting for theatre or television is required
- Applicant should be highly organized, detail oriented, adaptable to rapidly changing circumstances, a solid team player who has excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and databases a plus.
This is an in-person position, working at LDG's NY office or on job sites, as directed by the VP of Production Services, with an option to move to hybrid (3 days in-person) upon completion of training. Salary is commensurate with experience, in the $95,000- $115,000 range. LDG offers an excellent benefits package after probationary period.
