The Manager-Human Resource Business Partner contributes to defining and implementing a Human Resource strategy which aligns and integrates with Unified Retail strategy and objectives. This role serves as a strategic partner to Unified Retail Leadership by developing and delivering integrated and inclusive HR Services such as: Strategy Development, Organization Design, Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Change & Transition Management and Functional HR Integration. This role reports to the Director, HR Business Partner for the Unified Retail organization.
This role will have broad impact across Disney's Consumer Products Commercialization team supporting both professional and executive populations as well as hourly and managerial Cast Members.
Additionally the Manager-HRBP facilitates the alignment and improvement of HR policies, processes and programs via effective partnership with other HR teams including employee Relations, compensation, talent acquisition, workforce analytics, organizational development and others. S/he will help to manage the design and implementation of new and changed HR policies and programs to enhance the performance and experience of our Cast Members.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver day-to-day Human Resource services and support for assigned client groups.
• Provide strategic HR leadership and consultation focused on anticipating and assessing emerging business, organization or people trends and identifying and implementing the appropriate Human Resource / Diversity & Inclusion solutions.
• Design and execute strategies to increase organization, team and individual performance to improve the business' capabilities to deliver against its goals.
• Provide expertise in the areas of leadership and executive team development, organization and Cast effectiveness, and meeting design/facilitation with a bias toward building client capability within client system.
• Collaborate with HR functional partners to execute human resources strategies to enable business objectives and support future business growth.
• Identifies and analyzes trends related to recurring issues and recommends strategies to help resolve the issue.
• Execute the Talent Management process to identify current and forecasted talent needs and, in partnership with other site and segment partners, develop action plans to mitigate associated risk and improve confidence in future successor readiness to enable business objectives.
• Maintain an effective level of business literacy to provide a consultative approach to delivery of HR services. Leverage HR / business skills and knowledge to challenge or influence leadership in decision-making processes.
• Act as a credible partner, proactive (has a point of view, challenges assumptions, takes initiative); and a trusted thought-partner to senior leadership within designated client system.
• Acts as project leader as appropriate on assigned initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience as a Human Resources Business Partner
• Previous experience managing multiple client groups and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced, high volume environment
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects with strong prioritization skills
• Demonstrated integration and strategic planning skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to coach and influence at all levels of the organization
• Strong business acumen
• Proven knowledge of HR industry practices
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to help drive business results
• Proven ability to manage conflict and the courage to challenge organizational thinking
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven consulting and/or change management experience
• SHRM certification or other HR industry equivalent
• Demonstrated strong facilitation and presentation skills
• Experience within a specialty retail environment in either Human Resources or Retail Operations
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources Management or related discipline.
Preferred Education
• MBA or Masters in Organizational Development, Leadership
