The Walt Disney Company's Corporate Legal Department is seeking a Senior Paralegal to assist attorneys with contract drafting, legal research and advising on a variety of corporate and contractual related matters including sourcing management, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions and global consumer payments.
What You Will Do
• Assist with all aspects of contract drafting and negotiations.
• Draft and prepare for attorney review a variety of legal documents including governance resolutions, corporate certificates, form agreements and NDAs.
• Review and proof existing agreements and legal documents.
• Manage large-scale projects involving subject matter experts and stakeholders across the company.
• Assist in developing presentations and training materials.
• Interface directly with other executives and their support teams – your ability to work well with people on all levels is a very important part of your job.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information, remembering that The Walt Disney Company is a publicly traded company.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• At least 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a reputable law firm or major in-house legal department.
• Ability to draft, negotiate, and review a variety of legal documents.
• Ability to conduct detailed and comprehensive legal research.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a team-based environment and consistently meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail.
• Experience working independently on complex, high profile, and sensitive projects.
• Good judgment to appropriately discern when to escalate issues.
• Complete reliability in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Required Education
A Bachelor's Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and/or any applicable state codes.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $85,800.00 to $115,000.00 per year based on a 40- hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
