Job Summary:
About the Role & Team
The Walt Disney Studios seeks a HR Specialist (Project Hire) to join the Human Resources team. This team is a highly visible department that plays an integral part in key talent decisions across the Studio organization.
The HR Specialist will support Marvel Studios Live Action, Animation, and Publishing, providing advice to employees/clients on the appropriate interpretation and application of HR policies, processes and practices. They work with functional subject matter experts and team members to complete tasks. They are also the main point of service contact for client related questions and business issues including but not limited to HR policies, processes, leaves of absence, corrective actions and staffing needs involving hiring approvals and position management. This role provides the back-end support to the HRBP team.
What You Will Do
• Provide high-quality, timely and professional client service and follow through to ensure appropriate action was taken.
• Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with HR functional partners
• Assist in advising/providing guidance in the administration of HR related policies and procedure like:
• Position Management & Job Managed roles
• Maintain accurate org charts for client areas (where applicable as this is sometimes done by the business)
• Administration of local recognition programs and employee development offerings (as needed and/or when sponsored by HR)
• Proactively document, maintain, and organize area practices and protocols related to HR policy administration and standards
• Stay current on changes to HR policies and processes, and communicate changes to appropriate audiences
• Headcount reconciliation
• In partnership with Global HR Operations, coordinate onboarding and off-boarding related activities.
• Responsible for headcount reconciliation and accuracy.
• Provide support to projects as needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an HR or customer/ client facing professional role
• Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power-point, Outlook
• Understands the dynamics of the business and supports/drives HR practices and processes that will help create an effective organization.
• Can adapt to different client groups and develop a deep understanding of nuances, processes, and internal/external factors affecting the business.
• Solid knowledge of HR systems, policies and processes including Workday, hiring approval process, etc.
• Ability to effectively manage project work while balancing priorities.
• Strong communication and positive influencing skills.
• Ability to positively confront issues and resolve conflict.
• Sound judgment and decision making.
• Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels within the organization.

• Ability to effectively partner internally and externally

Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $58,700.00 to $78,600.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
