Manager, Digital Marketing (PH)
Job Summary:
A dedicated, dynamic, and creative manager of digital marketing is needed to support the social and content strategy for Walt Disney Animation Studios. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position that requires creativity, collaboration, organization, and communication at a very high level. The ideal candidate is a strong writer that possesses a deep understanding of social content creation with a passion for discovering and pioneering new social trends. This position may require some non-traditional working hours (early morning/weekends/evenings), light travel and on field level work at events, including premieres, screenings & junkets.
Please note - this is a project hire position with a projected end date of September 26th, 2025.
Job Responsibilities
• With the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing, work to develop the Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) brand across social and digital platforms, execute creative social tactics, and handle the day-to-day operations of WDAS social.
• Liaise with Disney Animation contacts on a day-to-day and monthly basis regarding content concepts, feedback, questions, comments, or concerns.
• Spearhead the audio-visual content development for Disney Animation's evergreen social presence, creating bespoke content and posting across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, and emerging platforms.
• Lead relationship with creative agencies and oversee content production pipeline from ideation through execution and final delivery for video and static content.
• Build and maintain the ongoing brand social calendar.
• Write social copy and scripts within the WDAS brand voice.
• Lead and participate in brand brainstorms for innovative and high-quality content with an emphasis on timely social trends.
• Spearhead influencer activations.
• Attend content shoots to capture social assets.
• Collaborate with synergy partners across the company in conjunction with the VP and Sr Manager, Digital Marketing to ensure optimal communication and support of company tentpole priorities, from Disney Parks to Consumer Products and more.
• On-site management of digital & social activities at events such as premieres, screenings and junkets.
• Application of a multicultural lens to all social and creative materials.
• Monitor content performance and adjust strategy where needed.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or related field
• Excellent writing skills, with specific experience in crafting engaging social copy
• Highly organized and detail oriented with an exceptional sense of accountability
• Experience with production, working directly with talent, and script writing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast-paced environment
• Deep knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms
• Strong Video editing skills with Adobe Suite and mobile editing, including internal social platform editing tools
• Photo editing skills with Adobe Suite as well as quick-turn, in-app social media platform editing
• Knowledgeable about Walt Disney Animation Studios IP
• Polished in presentation and communication
• Creative thinker and innovator
• High level of drive and urgency
• Bachelor's degree (preferably a degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Cinema/Television or related field) and/or related experience
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA $102,000 to $136,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
