Summer Paid Intern - Digital Studio Operations

This is a Full Time Paid Internship

About the Role & Program

Do you have a passion for the film business, Disney, and a keen interest in post production?

Disney Digital Studio Services offers a broad array of digital file-based services in support of filmmaking, mastering, asset finishing, and distribution, as well as sound mixing, editorial rooms, theatre and screening rooms.

We currently have an intern opportunity to work with our Disney Digital Studio Services team for the summer! This internship will work with the team on strategic projects related to the digital supply chain from beginning to end.

What You Will Do

Support the internal mastering workflow from order creation, fulfillment, and QC in the following ways:
• Identify operational metrics and generating models/dashboards
• Refinement of Scorecard metrics gathering and procedures
• Refinement and improvement of existing production tools and methods
• Identify and gather user requirements related to software improvement
• Map workflows
• Administrative tasks -- assisting with work order generation, day-to-day ad hoc support, gathering of requirements, assets and deliverables

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Ability to think strategically about end to end workflows to suggest and complete operational efficiency improvements
• Conceptual understanding of the order lifecycle, not limited to any specific goods and or industry
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point and familiarity with workflow diagram applications such as Visio or Lucid Chart
• Ability to keep multiple projects, at different phases in their life cycle, moving forward through completion
• An understanding of operational metrics
• Ability to work under pressure and still maintain an organized approach

Education
• Junior or Senior year preferred
• Major or previous coursework in Media, Cinema or Business-related studies or similar, or having recently graduated from such program within 6 months of application.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
• Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
