Summer Intern
A full-time intern is needed at Thirteen/WNET to support the Emmy Award-winning PBS series GREAT PERFORMANCES and WNET`s local NYC-ARTS and REEL 13 programs in all aspects of production. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience working within a television production unit. This position is unpaid, but college credit is available.
Responsibilities include: research, transcription, screening tapes, photo/film licensing, archiving and filing, and tape duplication. There will also be opportunities for involvement in the production and post-production processes, assisting with local shoots and observing edits and recording sessions.
Candidates should have a strong interest in television production and the arts, preferably with broadcasting production or office experience. Strong writing and research skills are a plus. Interns should be detail-oriented, able to work independently and have a positive attitude. Full time strongly preferred; part-time internship may be available. Hours are flexible.
