• Soft Skills Required: Excellent organizational skills, strong phone and interpersonal skills, discretion with confidential information
• Preferred Skills/Experience: Talent Acquisition experience is a plus

Position Title:
Human Resources Coordinator – TMZ
Job Summary:
TMZ is looking for an experienced HR Coordinator to join the HR team, managing onboarding and offboarding, supporting recruitment, handling transactional HR matters, and fielding day-to-day inquiries in a busy newsroom.
Responsibilities:
• Provide HR administrative support to the Head of HR and Director of Talent Acquisition
• Guide employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits
• Schedule interviews, conduct reference checks, and manage candidate follow-ups
• Attend talent acquisition events as needed
• Create and maintain a job description library
• Oversee intern check-ins and workshop schedules
• Assist with performance review processes
• Manage HR databases and oversee COVID-19 protocols
• Coordinate employee flu shot clinics and assist with training
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years’ experience in HR or a related field
• Knowledge of HR processes and experience with Workday
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent judgment and discretion with confidential information
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Talent Acquisition experience is a plus
