Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description:
TMZ is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join the HR team, providing administrative support, managing onboarding/offboarding, and assisting with recruitment in a dynamic newsroom setting.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative HR support to the Head of HR and Director of Talent Acquisition.
• Guide employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Schedule interviews, follow up with candidates, and conduct reference checks.
• Attend talent acquisition events as needed.
• Maintain the job description library.
• Oversee intern check-ins and workshop schedules.
• Assist in the performance review process.
• Manage the HR database and COVID-19 protocols.
• Coordinate training sessions and the yearly employee Flu Shot Clinic.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in HR or a related field.
• Skills: Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Preferred Experience: Talent Acquisition experience is a plus.
• Other Qualities: Excellent judgment, discretion, communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary:
$21.00 - $23.63 per hour (California).
