We are currently hiring for the position of:
ASSISTANT, INDUSTRY PROGRAMMING
Responsible for administrative and on-site support for the planning and execution of Industry Programming, including the Industry Conference and Talent Development initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in compiling and tracking programme applicants, guest speakers and materials
• Assist in the invitation process for Conference and Talent Development
• Liaise with selected participants, guests and mentors
• Assist in the coordination of production and event logistics with internal events team
• On-site support for the execution of Industry Programmes, including talent wrangling on-site
• Research guests speakers, participants and official selection guests, and distribute research packages for moderators and hosts
• Develop and coordinate the distribution of itineraries and reminders
• Support in the creation of Project Books for our initiatives
• Coordinate event guest lists
• Administer and maintain a database of selected participants and guests
CONTRACT DATES OR START DATE:
• August 19 to September 13, 2024
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Canadian or international film industries.
• Previous experience in a film festival environment a strong asset.
• Exceptionally strong administrative and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in event production an asset.
• Quick thinker, good judgment and excellent multi-tasker.
• Knowledge of other languages (especially French) a definite asset.
• Excellent computer skills, with experience with G Suite applications.
• Previous experience with large databases an asset.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
JOB GRADE & SALARY:
• Job Grade 4
• $21/hour
TARGET CONTRACT DATES:
• August 18 - September 13, 2024
WORK LOCATION:
• Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
• Weekly in-office requirements:
• Minimum 3 days (June to October)
• Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival

• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
• This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
