We are currently hiring for the position of:
MANAGER, INDUSTRY SALES & SERVICES
The Manager, Industry Sales & Services is accountable for the year-round oversight of Industry related business development including accreditation, advertising, exhibition, partnerships and services. They are responsible for growing TIFF’s industry community while delivering high-level customer service and communication strategy for TIFF’s professional audience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop revenue flows of industry pass and promotional sales to meet departmental revenue targets.
• Engage in contractual negotiations with national agencies, trade magazines, B2B platforms and industry partners creating new sales opportunities for both year-round and festival.
• Develop, implement and produce mass external communications and solicitation strategies on a monthly, weekly and daily basis that promote industry team initiates, programming and sales opportunities.
• Develop outreach strategies and manage industry initiatives that grow revenue, attendance numbers and overall engagement with both diverse professionals as well as the identified industry community groups.
• Act as representative at various interdepartmental meetings to drive collaboration and communication related to the fulfillment of partner, funder, reciprocal exchange obligations and overall professional experience at the festival.
• Support Senior Manager with the development of the industry guest invites, protocol ticketing and VIP accreditation including implementation of invitations, outreach and customer relations to key stakeholder groups.
• Ensure all benefits related to passes and promotional sales are delivered as promoted or contracted
• Design, distribute and analyze customer satisfaction surveys.
• Participate in the seasonal hiring, onboarding, training and coaching of a globally oriented team of sales and services professionals, developing portfolios and in depth training materials to ensuring departmental, team and individual goals are achieved

• Job Grade 3
• 60,000-78,000
TARGET CONTRACT DATES:
• March 1, 2025 - October 24, 2025
WORK LOCATION:
• Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
• Weekly in-office requirements:
• Minimum 2 days (November to May)
• Minimum 3 days (June to October)
• Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree in arts management, arts administration or commerce considered an asset
• Minimum of 3 years experience working with staff and delegating responsibilities
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Canadian and International Industries with ability to demonstrate
• 3 years of demonstrative senior customer service experience or stakeholder relationship managements
• Demonstrable knowledge of domestic and international distribution, sales activities, national promotional agency networks, funding practices, co-productions as well as international film festivals and markets
• Exceptional business writing skills with attention to detail, including but not limited to e-mail marketing and promotional copy generation.
• Strong ability to communicate professionally and tactfully
• Demonstrative ability to listen to client feedback as delivered and work to meet stated objectives
• High level customer relations skills with comfort in speaking to difficult circumstances.
• Ability to think critically and anticipate issues or opportunities and proactively propose solutions to address them.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick but informed decisions
• Previous film industry, festival, or hospitality experience considered an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrable highly professional attitude with clients
• Fluency in foreign languages considered an strong asset
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
