TVLine is looking for an experienced newswriter to join our vibrant team and turn around breaking news pick-ups with impressive efficiency, prepare embargoed news releases, and handle some of TVLine's buzzy own exclusives. We seek a solid writer with an indisputable "nose for news," someone who can quickly adapt to our style and who requires no editing.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years newswriting experience
• Deep knowledge of TV shows (streaming, broadcast, cable) and their stars
• Ability to turn around breaking news stories quickly and cleanly, as well as prepare embargoed news and some exclusives
• Familiarity with WordPress is a plus
Typical wage range: $65k - $75k
Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
