Summer Intern - Fox Content Innovation Program

Internship Opportunity

The Fox Innovation Lab and Twentieth Century Fox Filmed Entertainment are seeking summer interns to develop and prototype entertainment experiences based on Fox properties that utilize new mediums such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). Over the course of ten weeks, students will have the unique opportunity to be part of the Fox Innovation Lab and work hands-on with studio executives and an academic advisor as part of this intensive innovation program.

Responsibilities

Student teams will each be responsible for developing and creating at least one experience as outlined by the project sponsor. Potential projects include:
• AR experience on the Fox Studios lot
• CG shorts based on an existing Fox film franchise
• Short VR experience based on an existing Fox franchise

Desired Qualifications The program is a fulltime commitment over a 10-week period from June 4 - August 10. All applicants must be generally available over this time. The program will be located on the Fox Studios Lot in Los Angeles.

We are seeking a mix of strong creative and technical talent for this program. Undergraduate and graduate students with the following interests and abilities are desired:
• A passion for storytelling and new mediums such as VR and AR
• A demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new technologies quickly
• Comfort with an agile, rapid prototyping approach to development
• Strong initiative, maturity and the ability to collaborate well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment
• A background in interactive media, game design, cinematic arts, animation, film/TV production or computer science is preferred

Specific skillsets and experience desired include:
• Programming, 2D art, 3D art, animation, audio design, game or experience design, screenwriting
• 3D design/ modeling experience with Maya or similar development experience with game engine technologies such as Unity and Unreal preferred
• Scriptwriting and story ideation for immersive, narrative-driven experiences
• Previous VR/ AR and/or CG experience
• Strong project management and time management skills

To participate in Fox's Internship program you must meet the following criteria:
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and be sophomore status or above.
• Be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship by the Company.
• Housing is not provided, so please have a housing option guaranteed before applying.
