United Artists Releasing, a Joint Venture between Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) and Annapurna Pictures (Annapurna), is a U.S. theatrical releasing company. Built upon the legacy of the iconic United Artists motion picture studio, the joint venture provides a home where filmmakers are supported by thoughtful approaches to marketing, publicity, and distribution. United Artists Releasing offers content creators an alternative distribution option outside of the studio system and supports Annapurna and MGM's film slates as well as the films of third-party filmmakers.
This role will begin as a work from home position with return to our West Hollywood office when health guidelines permit.
In-Theatre Marketing Assistant
Located within the Distribution department, this role supports our In-Theatre Marketing team by providing a smooth flow of communication, troubleshooting, and ensuring completion of a wide range of responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities
Distribute campaign assets, such as artwork and graphics on an as-needed basis to key partners
Archive all campaign assets in a team shared drive
Assist with managing in-theatre promotions and assets including routing materials for approvals
Maintain trade event calendars and itineraries; organize registrants for events
Maintain trailer programing charts (adding synopsis, release date changes, etc.) and release schedules
Work with hired vendors to coordinate production of in theatre assets and promo items, create shipping lists, and track shipping process
Handle requests for movie marketing materials and fulfill orders via our warehouse
Tracking placement of movie marketing materials, including calling theaters and tracking showtimes
Handle processing of Invoices & P.O.s
Organize travel accommodations for the department
Prepare meeting agendas and recap notes as needed
Administrative duties for Department Head (screening phone calls, managing call logs, expense reports, calendaring, set meetings and orchestrate Zoom calls etc.)
Your Background
1 - 3 years-experience in entertainment, marketing, media related industries, or an agency, or relevant internship experience with strong interest in film marketing
Bachelor's degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint required
Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of employees, as well as outside contacts
Maintains a high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
Must be able to work on a team with willingness to assist co-workers as needed
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and extremely detail oriented
