Director, Accounts Payable
Location: Beverly Hills, CA
UTA is seeking a Director of Accounts Payable to manage the US AP department. The role involves overseeing day-to-day AP operations, driving automation and process improvements, and collaborating across teams. The Director will also mentor team members and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily AP operations and develop team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and streamline processes.
• Drive automation initiatives to optimize invoice processing and payments.
• Implement and maintain best practices in AP operations.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure accurate internal management reporting related to AP activities.
• Monitor compliance with policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
• Develop strong vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms.
• Oversee accurate invoice and expense report GL coding.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all AP-related payments.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of AP/GL systems and procedures.
• Implement segregation of duties and ensure effective controls.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of accounts payable experience, including management in a large organization.
• Proficient in Concur, Tipalti, MS Suite (especially advanced Excel), Workday, and NetSuite (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with C-Suite executives.
• Ability to lead and collaborate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong data extraction and reporting skills.
