As the Intern of Social Media & Strategic Communications, you'll report to the Senior Director of Strategic Communications. You will assist with the execution of USA Baseball's social media strategy to elevate the organization's brand, grow engagement, and showcase the organization's programs. You will also assist with broader strategic communications efforts, including drafting press releases, maintaining the USA Baseball website, building e-newsletters, and tackling various other communication tasks. This role will provide hands-on experience in social media management and strategic communications within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

POSITION DETAILS
• Full-time hours (40 hours/week)

• Based in Cary, NC with a fully dedicated workstation during standard business hours

IN THIS ROLE
• You will assist in developing and executing social media strategies to elevate USA Baseball's brand and deepen audience engagement across all platforms.
• You will create engaging social media content for the main USA Baseball brand, USA Baseball Shop, and accounts dedicated to growing the game, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
• You will collaborate with the Athletic Communications team to integrate their content into a cohesive and impactful schedule for USA Baseball's main social platforms.
• You will assist with communications tasks, including drafting press releases, managing website updates, and building e-newsletters.
• You will help monitor and analyze social media performance using social media tools to contribute insights to improve strategies and boost engagement.
• You will support the creation of data-driven campaigns to promote USA Baseball programs, services, and merchandise.
• You will foster an interactive and engaged online community by responding to trends, participating in conversations, and connecting with fans and stakeholders.
• You will assist with updating and maintaining USA Baseball's websites, ensuring content is accurate and consistent with the organization's branding.
QUALIFICATIONS
• You have 1-2 years of intern or part-time experience in social mediaor content creation, with an ability to manage both social media campaigns and communications tasks.
• You possess an understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter (X), TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging channels.
• You have experience drafting press releases and communications materials, managing website updates, and building e-newsletters.
• You can leverage social media analytics tools to analyze performance, providing actionable insights to optimize content strategies.
• You have a passion for storytelling and the ability to translate the organization's goals and identity into creative digital content and written content.
• You have an understanding of or interest in baseball and sports.
