The Intern, Baseball Operations – 15U National Team will work directly with USA Baseball's 15U National Team and National Team Championships North Carolina and report to the Director, 15U National Team. The USA Baseball National Team Championships are elite championship events which serve as the primary identification vehicle for the 15U National Team and 18U National Team, as well as the 13U/14U Athlete Development Program (ADP) and the 16U/17U National Team Development Programs (NTDP). Through these events, USA Baseball provides the opportunity for more than 300 teams across the nation to showcase their talents and potentially be selected to represent their country.

POSITION DETAILS:
• Full-time hours (40 hours/week)
• Part-time hours April – May 15; Full-time hours through August (flexible start and end date)
• On-Site Hybrid
• Based in Cary, NC and primarily works events uses a flexible workspace in office as needed
• Domestic travel involved in this position (all travel costs covered by USA Baseball)

IN THIS ROLE
• You will serve as the main point of contact for teams, parents, and players attending the National Team Championships North Carolina, ensuring clear communication and support.
• You will provide administrative support for the National Team Championships, including gathering rosters, collecting insurance information, communicating with teams via phone and email, and fielding questions about the event from participants, parents, and scouts.
• You will assist with on-site registration and serve as one of the complex's main USA Baseball representatives, managing all tournament staff (scouts, scorekeepers, gate staff, etc.).
• You will assist the Director, 15U National Team, with administrative daily tasks and oversee the day-to-day operations of all 15U National Team programming, including team travel, team meals, and equipment.
• You will communicate with National Team Training Camp and National Team participants and their families about all aspects of the events, including travel, equipment, and participant paperwork.
• You will assist with all administrative and operational needs for 15U National Team Training Camp and Training.
• You will provide operational and administrative support for other USA Baseball National Teams, National Team Development Programs, and the National Team Identification Series as needed.
• You will support other USA Baseball events and departments by performing various administrative and operational duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
• You are highly organized with attention to detail and a passion for baseball operations.
• You are a problem-solver who is flexible and agile in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software platforms, such as League Apps.
• You have strong initiative to complete tasks in a timely fashion to advance the team's overall progress.
• You have professional communication skills, both in person and via phone and email.
• You are able to establish and maintain relationships with staff members, scouts, and coaches.
• You have a basic understanding of existing and emerging baseball technologies, including but not limited to Rapsodo, Trackman, Synergy, and Diamond Kinetics.
• You are flexible and willing to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, during USA Baseball events.
• You are in pursuit of or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree.
• You can successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
