Content Producer

This is a Full Time Job

The Utah Jazz are looking for a self-starting, creative and extremely online individual to join our content team. This ideal person for this position will be comfortable with everything from creation of vertical content to long form pieces on YouTube and Jazz . The right person for this position is a sports nerd who is well-versed in online trends and can adapt those trends to coincide with our brand and voice.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee and manage the junior content producer and content intern in creating and planning vertical content, long form content, and game night responsibilities
• Work with the senior director of content and social media manager in creating and executing a video content calendar
• Delegate assignments within the team for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikToks, video shoots, and edits for broadcast, game presentation, YouTube and Jazz
• Assist the creative services team in shoots and/or edits
• Collaborate with influencers
• Pitch content ideas and strategies for vertical content and execute them, getting approvals and feedback along the way
• Oversee video production of game nights and in-game edits
• Collaborate with other teams on marketing and within the Jazz in creating assets for campaigns, sponsorships, podcasts, and ads
• Be able to shoot games, events, bts, activations, etc. with a quick editing turn around
• Protect the reputation of the company
• Exemplify the Utah Jazz mission and values: transparent, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappy
• Accept other duties, as assigned

COMPETENCIES:
• Strong creative mindset with a keen eye for social media trends
• Familiarity with Adobe Suite, specifically Premiere Pro
• Can operate Sony Cameras (FX6, FX3, A74)
• Self-starter with the ability to work under limited instruction
• Passion for social media and a drive to create impactful content
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Be able to communicate openly and effectively with coworkers
• Knowledge of basketball and the NBA is preferred
• Persists in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks
• Proactively seeks feedback without being defensive

• Anticipates future trends and implications accurately

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro and experience with video editing
• Familiarity with Sony cameras and their settings
• Passion for sports
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and problem solving abilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
