This is a Full Time Job
The Utah Jazz are looking for Broadcast Assistants for the 2023-24 NBA Basketball season. Work includes studio production and broadcast assistant/statistic work for both Jazz Radio/TV as well as the potential to work with visiting Radio/TV. No previous experience is necessary, but all applicants must have serious interest in a career in broadcasting. The Broadcast Assistants have a great opportunity to get their foot in the door and experience the real-life dynamics of sports broadcasting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Protect the reputation of the company
• Support production pieces including highlight packages
• Work as a statistician during all Jazz home games
• Assist in covering shoot-arounds and practices
• Produce post game summary podcast
• Prepare highlight and sound bite production for the radio stations shows.
• Exemplify the Utah Jazz mission and values: transparency, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappy
• Accept other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Currently attending a 4-year college or university working towards a related degree
• Striving towards a career in the Broadcasting Field
• Must be able to work all Jazz home games
• Needs to be energetic and engaging
• Must be able to take direction and possess a willingness to learn
• Must be flexible and willing to help where needed
• Must be able to handle highly stressful situations in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
