Assistant Editor/Media Coordinator - full-time, on-site role in West LA/Santa Monica area
V10 Entertainment seeks an Assistant Editor/Media Coordinator to play a critical role in our Post Production team. This is a hands-on position to coordinate, interact with and troubleshoot all aspects of media in the daily Post workflow across multiple projects. Interact with and instruct freelance team members on Post procedures/workflows. Work with Post management to ensure all digital and physical assets are efficiently tracked, ingested, organized, delivered and archived. This is a fulltime, on-site position.
• Assess and maintain company archive of produced content, both digital and physical mediums.
• Hands-on coordination and execution of digital content to editing servers and final delivery to clients
• Post records - maintain, track, and generate necessary documents.
• Train and share post production protocols with other employees and new staff members.
• Trouble shoot post workflow challenges with software and equipment.
1. Minimum three years of technical experience in reality and episodic workflows, handling asset operations and post-delivery
2. Familiarity with various file formats, tape formats, the encoding process, frame rates, archiving formats and digital delivery methods
3. Archiving methods including LTO
4. Knowledge of English Language including rules of composition and grammar
5. Technology including hardware and software related to this role
6. Skilled with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere in both MAC and PC environments
7. Managing editorial and all Post server workflows to ensure all current and archival materials are accessible
8. Proficiency in post-production tools and productivity software
9. Active Listening to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
