Variety Business Intelligence (VBI) - Film Research Intern
Are you trying to break into the entertainment business? Many employers require prior work experience for assistant level jobs. You can get the experience you need while getting paid at Variety Business Intelligence, the data division of Variety. Internships last up to twenty-six weeks. This is a paid internship ($14.25 / hour) and is based in our Los Angeles office.
Role:
We are looking for someone to work with Variety Insight's database of film metadata. This is an ideal internship for an aspiring writer, director, producer or studio executive.
The Variety Business Intelligence internship program exposes recent graduates to all aspects of the entertainment business in a friendly, respectful environment.
Intern duties primarily include information tracking and data entry responsibilities, and may sometimes involve light phone duties and working with spreadsheets and documents. Previous internship experience at a film studio/production company is preferred.
Requirements:
• Must be recently graduated (within 2 to 3 years) from an accredited college or university.
• Must be available for a minimum of 24-30 hours per week (scheduling flexible).
• Ideal candidate must be able to manage their own tasks and deadlines and have excellent organizational skills.
• Must have a high technical aptitude and working knowledge of Internet and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
• Ideal candidate will have an excellent phone rapport and manner.
• Excellent written and verbal skills and a very high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a team player attitude.
