COMEDY CENTRAL
Overview:
Supports production needs for the Enterprises Department including physical production, project management, asset management and administrative duties for Home Entertainment, Records, Radio, CC:Stand-Up Direct and other emerging lines of business.
Responsibilities:
Production & Project Management
Serves as central production liaison between the business branches of Enterprises
Ensures established deadlines and goals are met and that materials pass quality control
Assists in conceptualization and execution of original content - attends shoots, logs footage, tracks edits - as well as researching and acquiring pre-existing value-add materials.
Operational intermediary for internal and external production facilities and freelancers
Submits rights management requests and clearance memos
Gathers and organizes performance releases and music cue sheets
Routes original content and third party music/images for legal review
Generates and maintains overall production schedules and release calendars
Updates deliverable specifications and individual project key specs for CC Records and Home Entertainment
Compiles production metadata for CC Direct and ancillary business groups
Coordinates content delivery for internet and satellite radio partners; updates master status grid as needed
Delivers and registers new masters and metadata with SoundExchange, Comedy Exchange Assoc., Audible, and Audiobooks.com
Manages production of DVD/CD Combo projects (menus, authoring, encoding)
Provides input on creative development and execution of marketing materials
Maintains knowledge of competitive product
Participates in weekly calls with Distributors
Asset Management
Tracks creative assets in various mediums between internal and external facilities for authoring, encoding and dubbing
Strives to streamline content delivery, encoding and tracking processes between different distribution platforms
Manages content/creative cataloguing and archiving process with vendors and internal media library
Assists in delivery of Canadian Ratings Screeners to Paramount and tracks progress
Manages product orders for foreign markets
Additional Responsibilities
Collaborates with managers to devise long-term and short-term projects which include but are not limited to:
Compiling talent tour and social media updates
Mailing posters and other marketing materials
Internal distribution of finished product
Organization of product library and closet
Updating information with anti-piracy team
Library add-lot assistance
Administrative
Manages direct-to-artist product orders and billing
Submits product orders and ticket requests
Handles shipping, messengers, etc. as needed
Oversees vendor setup, project number requests and invoice coding
Manages copyright submissions
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 1 - 3 years relevant industry experience
Strong project management and organizational skills; must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
Team player with a positive disposition and good judgment
Ability to adapt to changing departmental needs
Solution-oriented; presents information in a helpful manner
Solid interpersonal, written, and communication skills; capable of interfacing with internal and external colleagues at multiple levels
Candidate should be a reliable self-starter, extremely detail-oriented and focused
General knowledge of comedy and popular culture
Basic understanding of production and marketing processes
Keen ability to trouble-shoot on his/her own but aware of personal limitations; seeks help when necessary
Deep knowledge and understanding of Social Media tools
Open and responsive to feedback
Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to the work
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
