Manager, Strategic Partnerships and Business Development– Digital/Multiplatform
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a curious business development & growth professional to join our Partnerships team to launch extraordinary media products, experiences and innovations that inspire and empower the next generation of Viacom’s business.
The “Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Manager” will be tasked to challenge the status quo of the media industry and will build partnerships with other publishers, up-and-coming and established startups, agencies, production companies, creative minds and social influencers to build new revenue streams, strengthen our relevance and grow our performance.
You will work with different brand groups on the creation and implementation of scalable initiatives for the entire VIMN Portfolio - and explore potential partnerships and business opportunities around this.
A hands-on role which requires entrepreneurial drive and a can-do attitude to evaluate opportunities, build presentations, present recommendations, negotiate strategic agreements/deal terms and orchestrate cross-functional/-regional teams to realize projects with strong attention to detail.
High levels of creativity, strategic thinking and commercial understanding are mandatory for this job. You should be as comfortable working with partners as working cross-functionally with colleagues across the business (Partnerships, Brand, Editorial, Creative, Product, Sales, Communications, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Legal). You should also expect to handle day-to-day operations and partnership management, field and prioritize incoming requests, troubleshoot partner issues, and improve performance.
We’re looking for someone who is driven, super motivated and generally passionate about all things digital/social.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as key day-to-day point of contact for internal and external partners
Analyse current strategies, uncover business needs/issues
Identify, research, evaluate, present and lead opportunities for growth and innovation
Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships
Orchestrate cross-functional/cross-regional teams to realize projects with strong attention to detail
Ensure smooth fulfilment of partnerships/cooperations
Be an internal advocate for the partners
Resolve issues, track and optimize performance
Issue call for response and facilitate engagement and delivery from internal teams
Secure compliance with rights, usage and legal requirements
Monitor trends, research influencers, global events and innovations, report important developments
Initiate creative sessions and business development activities (networking events, workshops, talks, product demonstrations, newsletter etc.)
Continually inspire our internal and external departments and clients with game-changing ideas/concepts and plans to get them executed
Create case studies and show reels
Partner with others on the team to make your and their ideas shine
Be a thought leader on how social technology is fundamentally changing brands
