Product Development Co-ordinator, EMEA

JOB SUMMARY
The Product Development Coordinator position sits within the London office of Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (part of Viacom International Media Networks). VNCP are responsible for the licensing management and product development across the successful portfolio of Viacom brands across both MTV & Nickelodeon.
The team in London provide support to the International business, (Asia, EMEA, America’s) as well as regional and local support across Business and Legal, Finance, Sales, Brand Management (strategy, planning) and Creative (asset development, product development, marketing, retail and promotional materials).
Working within the EMEA Product Development team, who manage the EMEA product approvals for consumer products this role will focus on the day to day management of product approvals and provide creative support to our external partners and licensees. The role will also be responsible for providing day to day support to the wider product development team.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
As part of the International Brand Management team, the Product Development Co-ordinator, sits within the EMEA Product Development team and works closely with the Designer Softlines, EMEA and Senior Product Development Manager, EMEA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Development:
• Responsible for the product approvals from concept to production within the VNCP systems for specific licensees under Designer/Design Manager supervision.
• Maintain successful working relationships with both internal and external partners and attend key seasonal VNCP internal and external meetings when relevant.
• Work with the VNCP designers and BALA team to ensure all product development is in line with terms outlined in contracts.
• Curate all relevant assets within the internal system to ensure all licensees have the relevant assets they need for their development.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of product development and relevant trends.
• Archiving and internal distribution of the production product and samples.
Softlines Team Support:
• Provide day to day support to Softlines Designers and product Development Manager including the delivery of creative assets and tools to partners both internally and externally.
• Support the Designers with territory specific pre-production approvals.
• Support the team with design projects for retail or licensee meetings.
• Work with the team on presentations for both internal and external meetings.
• Coordinate creative brainstorms to help inspire product development.
• Coordinate regular competitor and trend retail shops delivering a useable tool to share back with the business.
• Manage the internal trade show calendar and coordinate Softlines team attendance across key shows with the wider business.
• Provide administrative support for adhoc team projects / events
ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
Skills
and Experience
The ideal candidate would have:
• BA/BS or two years Technical College in related design and product field
• At least 1 years of office experience preferably within product development ideally in a licensing environment
• May currently be in a first role looking for the next step in their career
• Essential – good knowledge of working within the Microsoft Office programs – Excel, Word PPT.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite especially Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator and have strong creative and design skills.
• Ability to take initiative within a fast paced environment.
• Ability to communicate and investigate upwards within the team and externally.
• A second language is preferable.
Abilities:
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects in various stages simultaneously, with excellent time management skills.
• Confident in pulling presentation material together and using relevant software such as PowerPoint and Keynote
• Pro-active team player and highly responsive to requests
