Warner Bros. is continuing to expand and evolve the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts with our Flagship Wizarding World store, in New York City. This store brings to life the magic of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts for all Fans and Super Fans of the franchise. Flagship Retail delivers incredible products, service and environments in spaces that truly celebrate the Wizarding World.
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Flagship Retail NY location. This position will support the leadership hierarchy of the New York Flagship Wizarding World store by maximizing customer and fan engagement in an awe inspiring, best in class retail environment. One of the main responsibilities for this role will be to collaborate with other Assistant Store Managers to oversee multiple segments of the business while inspiring and leading a team of brand specialists to deliver an ever-evolving guest experience for fans.
The Daily
Employee Supervision
• Inspire high-performing teams within an ever-changing retail landscape
• Assists with interviewing, on-boarding, and training new employees.
• Evaluates, coaches, and counsels employees to meet all expectations.
• Ensures all team members are trained and develop an understanding of the product.
• Conducts staff meetings and attends leadership meetings as needed.
• Creates staffing and zoning plans for all associates.
• Manages performance and administers corrective action if applicable.
• Conducts succession planning to ensure a continuous talent bench.
• Supports with performance check-ins and appraisals.
Store Operations
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate opening/closing procedures of the store
• support partners to resolve issues timely and with the least impact to consumers.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment through coaching and education to ensure safety guidelines are adhered to.
• Generate energy and execute with excellence on all brand priorities
• Escalates building facility issues for resolution
Financial Management
• Adheres to policies for all payment and cash handling operations
• Actively drives store sales through effective communication and knowledge of metrics
• Monitors operational cost categories effectively with Warner Bros. Finance teams, e.g., staffing, repairs and maintenance, cleaning, etc.
Customer Service
• Promote premium brand awareness through product training and knowledge
• Create strategies to increase customer engagement and profitability
• Actively foster a customer obsessed culture with team members
• Be the voice of the customer and streamline communications to HQ
• Promotes a positive and seamless guest experience.
• Fosters an environment where complex engagement skills are cultivated.
• Handles and resolves all guest-related issues, ensures service standards, levels, and maximizes the customer experience.
• Create strategy plans in place to innovate the customer experience.
The Essentials
• Minimum 4 years' experience in premium or high-volume retail management experience
• Good understanding of business and financial concepts and demonstrated ability to lead the team to drive results
• Established time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a positive attitude
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Must have open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the business, including overnights, evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $51,106.00 - $94,910.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
