This position is part of a high functioning global team responsible for locali z ing and distributing Warner Bros. theatrical features content, including content for some of the biggest franchises in the world; J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World and the DC Universe . The wider group covers features, television, games, and short form content as well as a variety of marketing and promotional materials.
A Locali z ation and Operations Specialist is responsible for the locali z ing of content specifically for theatrical audiences in the US/LATAM/APAC region s . The role requires a strong understanding of different content types, release windows and stakeholder requirements. They are responsible for liaising with stakeholders, advanced planning, forecasting, meeting deadlines and quality assurance . Collaborating and coordinating across production teams, dubbing and subtitling studios, local WB offices and management to ensure all projects are completed to our audiences ', stakeholders and Warner Bros. corporates' high expectations .
Your Role Accountabilities:
Locali z ation, Digital Cinema Mastering and Distribution
Assists with planning and implementation of feature localization, mastering and distribution for US/LATAM /APAC content. Includes, but not limited to:
• Support localization senior manager with project set up, scheduling, and communication of creative issues.
• The supply of reference materials to internal stakeholders and l ocalization v endors, ensuring appropriate security protocols are applied and adhered to for each project.
• Liaising with allocated territories to establish their theatrical feature plan and requirements.
• Planning and placing DCP orders with appropriate Digital Cinema Lab. Create and maintain purchase orders to vendors to start work requested and reconcile POs when required
• Work with vendors to ensure all dubbed and subtitled localization content are delivered and tracked within the agreed timelines.
• Subtitle translation scheduling with local territories – establishing territory: preferred translator, approved main title, subtitle translation deadline dates alongside the digital schedule for mastering and clonin g in time for territory requirements.
• Knowledge of territory sensitivities for censorship purposes. Highlighting potential problem areas in features, establishing solutions for audio and picture censorship edits, capturing EDL for internal and external purpose and usage theatrically and downstream.
• IP research and glossary management, ensuring consistency across brands and products. Establish fanciful terms list from books, TV series, films, for WB franchise titles. Instruct vendor, translators and territories of terms to be entered into glossary database, deadline dates and ensuring quality is upheld for use across business unit and third-party use.
• Quality Checking Feature DCP content.
• Ensure technical quality and compliance in terms of formats, standards and efficiencies with specific regards to digital cinema.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during localization/distribution of content
• Maintaining and updating the local distribution methods are in keeping with latest technology and localization developments for theatrical and home entertainment release windows.
• Create and manage the database of records within the ASK system to enable DCP and KDM management.
• Efficient in maintaining records in WB internal systems and databases.
Relationships & Communication
Maintain relationships and act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, vendors and WB Locali z ation management. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, providing expertise and support, communicating clearly and quickly on all day to day operational activities.
• Coordinate activities across Content Creative Services team, Legal, Finance, Anti-piracy, WB local offices, licensee offices and locali z ation vendors.
• Providing clear creative direction to locali z ation teams.
• Report regularly on project statuses, creative choices and budgeting.
Qualifications & Experiences:
• Fluent in English
• Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills , good verbal and written communication skills and proficient in computer usage.
• Must be self-motivated, highly organized, detail oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a team environment
• Quick problem solver, team player, good time management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-experts in a clear and understandable manner
• Project management experience
• At least 2 years' experience in theatrical mastering, locali z ation and/or content servicing.
• High level of analytical skills
Not Required but preferred experience:
• Knowledge of traditional and digital ad sales media a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts or Radio/TV/Film preferred
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with media file transfer and secure sharing workflows
• Multilingual in any of the following a plus: Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Japanese, Vietnamese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Thai, Indonesia, or Korea n.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $54,090.00 - $100,454.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
