This is a Full Time Job
This position sits on WBD's Corporate Events team. We are looking for a high-judgement, self- motivated, and innovative Event Specialist who will support the ideation, development, and implementation of multiple types of events including internal, corporate, B2B, consumer-facing, launch events, network screenings, press events, and more. This position will be responsible for an array of deliverables amongst a busy and fast-paced events calendar, so the ability to juggle multiple projects at once is key.
This role requires extensive collaboration with internal partners, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of all events and activations (both virtual and LIVE) that are vital to the business. This person will be a dynamic team player, and have strong skills in multitasking, overall coordination, and event execution for both domestic and international events for Warner Bros. Discovery business units.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Have an active role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple events.
• Update budgets, timelines, and recaps of internal, industry, consumer, and brand events.
• Collaborate with internal & external creative agencies and partners to help design and produce invites, websites, décor premiums and other event collateral.
• Coordination of registration sites, media archives, event calendar and logistical support for events.
• Manage event marketing platform for key corporate events, building custom invitations, landing pages, registration forms, tracking RSVPs, managing check-in, etc.
• Create detailed reports for client groups outlining results and key learning's for major WBD events and initiatives and proactively research opportunities for WBDs brand portfolio at other and/or new events (including curating proprietary events).
• Oversee production of event properties and assets with external vendors including shipping, storage, and ongoing maintenance of reoccurring elements.
• Ongoing research of global media & event industry trends related to event spaces, new technologies, agencies & caterers, etc. Develop a deep knowledge of the industry and trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and agencies.
• Update concise, to-the-point reports for senior executive level management.
• Manage department event materials: inventory, shipping to/from events, replenishing supplies, etc.
Qualifications and Experience...
• 3-5 years of experience in event execution.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work at a fast pace under strict deadlines.
• Creativity is a must. Ability to activate brands in non-traditional ways.
• Must be a flexible, high-energy team player with a commitment to high quality deliverables.
• Ability to collaborate and sell ideas to internal stakeholders.
• Strong budget management and logistical planning experience.
• Experience with the digital/social media landscape including tools and integration into events structure.
• Demonstrated expertise with marketing concepts, creative development processes, and brand management.
• Ability to interact with a diverse and dispersed employee base, championing communication across the organization both internationally and domestically.
• Basic coding skills and ability to create WYSIWYG microsites (SplashThat.com, WordPress, etc.).
• Technical and creative skills in building decks/presentation and troubleshooting presentation software (Keynote, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite of Apps, etc.).
• Experience with social media tools and production integration.
• Must be able to engage in travel on an as-needed basis.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• On occasion, must have flexibility to conduct business during non-business hours (including weekends, when necessary) and be ''on call'' as needed.
