You will be working closely with our Lead Electrician, maintaining, modifying, and installing electrical systems at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. You will need to ensure that the premises are maintained to a high standard, always confirming safe working practises.
You will also be expected to diversify your role such that you will assist with other general maintenance tasks - our facilities team work as one!
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager and issued by Facilities Administrator.
• Monitor H&S compliance, such as correct PPE being worn, as per the H&S at Work Act and WBSL H&S Policy.
• Operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems via the Building Management System (BMS)
• Carry out small installation works and modifications to existing systems.
• React to all emergency with a view to implement a permanent fix or a temporary safe fix to reduce down-time, working through an escalate process for a quick resolution.
• Ensure all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable health and safety legislation, policies, and best practise guidelines.
• Provide out of hours electrical cover for all WB clients.
• Provide assistance and direction to contractors employed within the studio.
• Ensure critical spares and operational spare parts are always kept in stock this includes tools assigned to you.
Qualifications & Experiences...
• Fully qualified 'Approved Electrician' with AM2 and City & Guilds 236-2 or equivalent.
• BS7671 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations Accreditation.
• Electricity Supply Regulations Awareness.
• Electricity at Work act awareness.
• JIB/ECS card.
• 2391 inspecting and testing would be advantageous.
• NVQ Level 3
• Use and maintenance of site plant equipment such as MEWPS (training provide)
• Trained to use trailers and forklifts - preferable but not essential (training provided)
• Knowledge of the Business Management System (BMS) system - preferable but not essential
• Full working knowledge and adherence to H&S standards.
• Flexibility to work outside normal working hours.
• Must hold a full UK driving license
Working Pattern...
You will be required to work a 40-hour week on a rota shift pattern. You will also be required to work evenings and weekends in line with the operating hours of the studio and the studio tour. There will be a requirement to respond to emergencies in and out of normal working hours. You will be required to work some bank holidays.
Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement, where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
