Studio Security Manager - Warner Bros. Studio Operations
Location: United Kingdom - Leavesden
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
A new position has arisen within a fast-paced operational team. The Security Manager for Warner Bros Studio will be a proven all-rounder in security and incident management. With previous proven experience at a management level position in a Security department for a large public facing company (preferably within the entertainment/film industry or similar environment) or relevant experience in public sector / law enforcement, the role will work in tandem with (and provide cover for where necessary) the Security Manager for Warner Bros. Tour London at Leavesden (WBSL)
Skilled at the identification and mitigation of risk, the Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring both the safety and security of those working at the Studio's, and the physical security of the Studio. The Security Manager will be responsible for both the delivery of the security function through a third-party security contract and also the performance leadership of the contract.
The Security Manager must be able to demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude that can simultaneously focus on numerous tasks and is committed to seeing activities through to a satisfactory conclusion across all levels of the business. They must be a natural problem solver with a nimble approach, committed to continuous improvement with an eye on the future.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• WBSL security matters, including physical security, access control, control room management and risk assessments
• Work with all business units to take the lead in instilling a strong security culture at WBSL
• Responsibility for monitoring the national and international security threat to the operational environment and responding accordingly
• Work with WBSL's production clients to ensure the studio remains a secure environment with a special focus on the common areas of the Studios
• Work closely with WBSL senior leadership to provide security support to the Studio
• Review, analyse and report on changes to security rules, best practice, and regulations relevant to WBSL Management that compliments the needs of the business
• Create, update and review site-wide Security policies, and deliver security training on an as needed basis
• In conjunction with the Operations department, serve as a key member of the Emergency Operations team and WBSL Crisis Management Group, identifying updated ways to ensure WBSL is ready to address any issues that could affect people, real estate, and operations
• Manage all types of investigations and reviews related reports in conjunction with key partners both internally and externally. This includes crime, health and safety and supporting HR with internal investigations.
• Build effective relationships and act as liaison point with local law enforcement and CTSA's, fire/emergency services & responsible for the maintenance of strong operational links
• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements, advising Senior Management in cases of exception
• Provide security support for events and executive/talent visits, and physical and technical security recommendations for new construction projects
• Establish security management systems in line with wider Warner Media Global Security Standards; as well as localised audit frameworks for security management within WBS
• Coordinate all WBSL Departments and production clients in relation to delivering the recommendations of Risk assessments and to ensure ongoing protection of people, buildings, and equipment
• Responsible for security of WB De Lane Lea post- production facility based in London television.
• Complement the work of, and to provide cover for Security Manager Security Manager for Warner Bros Tour London at Leavesden (WBSL) to ensuring both the safety and security of guests who visit the Tour, and the physical security of the Tour which contains the original sets, props, and costumes from the Harry Potter film series.
• Will be required to deputise for the Director as and when required
• May be required to work evenings, weekends and out of hours cover including on call.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Previous proven experience in a management level position in a Security department for a large public facing company (preferably within the entertainment/film industry or similar environment), or relevant experience in public sector / law enforcement
• Experience of contract management and performance leadership
• Experience of business continuity/resilience
• A robust analytical, hands on and flexible approach that allows for sensible and cost-effective solutions to be found
• Skilled and credible investigator
• Experience evaluating and designing security measures and working across departments to fulfil and implement requirements
• Excellent knowledge of operational security software applications or the ability to acquire such knowledge through training
• Significant experience in developing emergency plans and handling emergency situation effectively; and in setting up and delivering training sessions
• Credible and experience in operational response to emergency and crisis situations
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills; able to partner with WBSL's Operations and Visitor Experience teams; and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within the organisation
• Ability to motivate and lead a multi-functional team of in-house and third-party providers; and to appraise and performance manage individuals
• Must have ownership and accountability for the security and must remain constantly alert for areas that need improvement and innovation
• Must possess a level-headed approach; ability to thrive under pressure; with impeccable judgement and the ability to work without supervision
• Possess a full UK driving license; IOSH Membership Level 4 preferred
