Assistant, Touring & Artist DevelopmentA little bit about our team:The Touring and Artist Development team at Atlantic Records represents and implements label interests on all aspects of tour related business, promotional tours, artist scheduling, ticket buys, tour marketing, special events/showcases, and respective budgets. Our team liaises with managers, agents and promoters to maximize opportunities in the marketplace for entire the Atlantic roster with an ultimate view towards artist growth.Your role:This position provides opportunity to learn the inner workings of a team responsible for growing artists from the ground level on up to superstars in the live space. You will build relationships across various departments at Atlantic Records, as well, have the ability to network within the greater touring community. (agencies, promoters and management companies) Here you'll get to:
• Provide full administrative support to the SVP of Artist Development & department as a whole – Managing SVP's appointment calendar, travel plans, expense reports, and phone lines. Will support entire department in scheduling meetings, conference calls, digital file organization, and mailings.
• Provide full financial administrative support for the department as a whole. This includes managing tour ledgers, tracking budgets, handling Concur reports for tickets and other tour expenses, opening purchase orders, processing invoices, and setting up vendors.
• Will assist in sorting label related guests and clients for tickets & passes to Atlantic shows. This includes coordinating with managers and tour managers for artist guest list space & purchasing tickets (outlined below).
• Will assist in the execution of ticket buys for domestic label artist shows – including putting tickets on hold with promoters, soliciting the company for needs, budgeting for the entire tour, executing the ticket buys, and distributing tickets in a timely manner.
• Will be asked to attend many of the label's New York area shows/events to assist in special ticket/VIP or logistical onsite needs.
• Will assist with the updating of internal tour data system for all tour dates, and distributing this information to all relevant internal and external personnel.
• Will take notes for the SVP when needed, as well for the department for meetings.About you:
• You have great organizational skills and the ability to prioritize various tasks and deadlines
• You pride yourself on your interpersonal and relationship building skills
• You are resourceful and have strong problem solving skills
• You are a heavy consumer of music who attends live shows regularly
• You are interested in new trends and pop culture
• BA or BS degree (or equivalent)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)We'd love it if you also had:
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• An even keeled demeanor
• At least one year of experience in an internship or ''college rep''
