Job Title: Deals Office, Manager
Duties:
Collaborate with other departments, including sync, administration, legal, and Artist & Repertoire (A&R), to provide financial insights and support music publishing business initiatives that drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and operational efficiency. Capture and consolidate data and metrics from new signings, acquisitions, and business ventures, including spend allocation, portfolio weighting, and various KPIs for deals valued up to $10 million. Complete in-depth analysis of internal and external deal data and reporting to gain actionable insights for portfolio optimization initiatives affecting all Warner Chappell offices around the world. Ensure financial models are built using reliable data points and present them to various senior management teams. Create presentation decks including transaction summaries for the global executive leadership team (including CEO and CFO) as part of the deal approval process. Archive deal data and final valuation materials. Manage custom financial reporting tool and support rollout of new financial forecasting tool. Develop process automation and workflow refinement processes. Provide advice and guidance to A&R, Legal and Business Affairs and senior management, to determine optimal deal structures. Support financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets, including liaising with external advisors and performing internal analysis of target's financial statements, and coordinate and assist in other diligence workstreams. Monitor and report on financial performance against forecasts and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Music, Music Production & Engineering, or Music Business, plus two years of experience in position offered or a business intelligence analysis position for a music publisher. All required experience must have included performing data analytics and statistical analysis on music publishing deals using tools Sodatone and Chartmetric; performing A&R research, market and music consumption analysis, and financial due diligence of music publishing deals; working cross-functionally with A&R, Legal and Business departments to capture data and disseminate data insights to assist with deal decision-making; working with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Python, and SQL; and leveraging music industry databases including Luminate, Mediabase, MLC, and Spotify for Publishers

Salary Range
$110,000-$146,000/year
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
