Job Title: Marketing Manager
A little bit about our team:
Homemade Merchandise is a music and entertainment merchandising company based in Los Angeles, California. We partner directly with some of the world's best musicians, comedians, podcasts and brands for whom we operate e-commerce websites and organize touring merchandise on behalf.
Your role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the music industry, e-commerce, and digital marketing trends. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative campaigns across various channels to engage our target audience and maximize sales, including but not limited to paid digital-ads and email marketing.
Here you'll get to:
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with company goals and revenue targets
• Conduct market research and analyze consumer behavior to identify trends and opportunities
• Define target audience segments and develop effective messaging strategies
• Set marketing budgets and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Create project budgets for approval by client representatives
• Develop creative direction for photoshoots and content creation, and budget them.
• Oversee the execution of photoshoots and content creation, ensuring adherence to budget.
• Manage and optimize online marketing channels including website, social media, email marketing, and paid advertising
• Develop engaging content (text, images, video) for social media platforms, blog, and email campaigns
• Oversee SEO/SEM strategies to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings
• Run targeted advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Instagram Ads in coordination with our ad agency.
• Analyze campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments to optimize result
• Coordinate with the Director of Ecommerce to optimize website user experience and conversion rates
• Implement email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and drive sales, in tandem with our ad agency.
• Manage online promotions and discount
• Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers and media outlets
About you:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within the music industry or e-commerce
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and paid advertising
• Experience with e-commerce platforms and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Passion for music and a deep understanding of music culture
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in marketing automation tools
We'd love it if you also had:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workplace
• Experience with graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
• Existing relationships with artists, labels, or music industry professionals
