Your role:
The Coordinator, Production has the opportunity to work alongside and learn from strategists, marketers, creative artists, and A&R Directors. This position will have a keenly particular eye for detail and a passion for ensuring their work is completed efficiently and correctly at all times. Thriving in our fast-paced environment will require this individual to be an organized self-starter and natural-born multi-tasker; completing detailed product development, artists and repertoire (A&R), and administrative tasks while communicating & coordinating program requirements cross-departmentally. Here you'll get to:
• Collaborate closely with Product Development, Production, A&R, Creative, Marketing, Commerce, Finance, and Business Affairs leads to facilitate getting physical and digital products introduced, solicited, scheduled, and delivered
• Coordinate with A&R and Product Managers on the release content, administration/finance on assigning WBS Element numbers, commerce on pricing/special procedures, and marketing on release timing
• Develop and maintain production schedules for digital asset delivery, ensuring alignment with release dates in a dynamic fast-paced retail, viral, and supply-chain influenced environment
• Coordinate the delivery and ingestion of all digital assets related to music releases, including but not limited to, master audio files (various formats), artwork (album art, single art, promotional images), video content (music videos, lyric videos), and metadata (track titles, artist information, release dates, rights information & associated credits)
• Ensure all assets meet the specific technical specifications and quality standards required by our internal systems and various Digital Service Providers (DSPs)
• Manage the upload and delivery of all release assets to a wide range of DSPs (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, etc.)
• Monitor asset delivery status, troubleshoot any issues related to ingestion, formatting, or availability on DSP platforms
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of each DSP's specifications and best practices
• Maintain and organize asset libraries within our internal content management system (CMS) and ensure data integrity
• Implement and enforce asset naming conventions, metadata standards, and delivery workflows
• Participate in weekly and vital calls with Marketing and A&R for release forecasting.
• Work with A&R to develop physical and digital releases for select projects, including track listing, cover direction, and title
• Work alongside the A&R admin team to ensure that all paperwork and relevant metadata related to every single, album, and video release is accurate, consistent, and complete
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external partners regarding asset specifications, delivery methods, and platform requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to audio and video file formats, metadata discrepancies, and delivery system errors. (i.e. Converting audio, visual, art files)
• Liaise with DSP support teams to resolve complex delivery issues.
• Maintain a department database tracking delivery commitments and catalog products list
• Ensure our asset storage is organized and secure. You will be responsible for administering and maintaining our past releases (catalog) in an orderly and efficient manner.
About you:
• Proven experience in digital asset management, production coordination, or a similar role within a record label, music distributor, or related music industry company
• Bachelor's Degree with a focus on marketing, communications, or advertising preferred
• Proficiency in Google Workspace
• Hands-on experience working with various Digital Service Provider (DSP) delivery platforms and content management systems
• Strong understanding of digital audio formats (WAV, FLAC, MP3, etc.), video formats, codecs, and metadata standards (DDEX)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with both creative and business-oriented team members to develop and execute strategic projects with strict deadlines
• Current understanding of today's music industry and passion for a wide variety of music artists and genres along with knowledge of how to speak to their fanbases
