Job Title: Senior Analyst, Finance
A little bit about our team:
The team is responsible for making data-driven strategic decisions to maximize the company's financial performance. This requires a thorough understanding of the music business as well as close partnership with executives across all departments at the label. On a day-to-day basis, the Finance department is responsible for accurately managing the company's financial position. Key activities include budgeting, forecasting, deal structuring, and various P&L and balance sheet analyses.
Your role:
This position will be responsible for supporting all functions under the VP of Finance, with a primary focus on preparation and analysis of various revenue reports for forecasting and budgeting purposes. In addition, the position will help to create and assess the profitability of various artist and label deals using internal P&L and IRR models, as well as own other ad-hoc analyses. The role will reward individuals who are looking to develop an executive skill set due to the analytical rigor required and broad organizational exposure offered.
Here you'll get to:
• Be responsible for the creation and analysis of various revenue reports (for both artists and digital service providers – ''DSP'') from multiple reporting systems and sources for the use in budgeting and forecasting deliverables.
• Work cross-functionally to drive financial accountability across label departments.
• Assist in the research and analysis of new and existing artist and label deals, through the use of IRR models and other evaluation methods. This includes researching prospective artist performance and deriving revenue valuations.
• Assist in preparing artist revenue and recoupment forecasts.
• Review Joint Venture (JV) and Production and Distribution (P&D) statements prepared by Warner Music Group's Shared Services team, for issuance to artist and management teams.
• Assist in monitoring and controlling the company's costs. Ensure that both actual and forecasted costs are properly accrued and stated, as well as analyze variances of actuals to forecast and budget numbers and provide accurate and concise explanations for them.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts submitted to Corporate.
• Special assignments / ad-hoc analysis as needed.

We'd love it if you also had:
• Proficient in various business programs and applications, including SAP and HFM preferred
• Minimum 3-4 years of Finance/Accounting experience
• 1-2 years of Music Industry experience preferred
• Finance and/or accounting degree

Salary Range
$75,000 to $80,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
