The WBDUK Marketing department constantly strives to create and maintain a best-in-class marketing function with an emphasis on lifetime value of WBD content across release windows. All roles within the team are tasked with driving improved cross-divisional understanding, collaboration and expertise and in delivering an integrated approach to marketing content.
The Film and Games Marketing team is unique in the industry as it manages the development, implementation and evaluation of lifecycle marketing campaigns on film titles across their theatrical, premium video-on-demand and home entertainment (physical and digital release) new release windows alongside the new release and catalogue games slate.
As a team, we bring to life some of the most prolific films in the market such as The Batman, Elvis and Don't Worry Darling. Alongside original IP we are responsible for marketing and growing releases from key franchises across Animation, DC Comics and Wizarding World.
In order to effectively work across such a huge slate and windows the team works in pods, collaborating across all aspects of titles. The opportunity is to join one of these pods.

This role is a unique entry-level opportunity into film marketing, responsible for supporting and assisting the pod marketing manager and executive in the implementation and evaluation of lifecycle marketing campaigns, including finance and admin management. Development opportunities exist within the role to grow broader marketing responsibilities across the lifecycle alongside various strategic projects depending on areas of interest.
The Daily
• Work collaboratively with all marketing divisions and external agencies to develop and deliver a holistic communications strategy.
• Assist in the creation & review of all marketing creative and product artwork across assigned titles.
• Raise all purchase orders for titles, managing this process with finance and suppliers.
• Day-to-day budget maintenance, meeting and room bookings, compiling internal updates, campaign wrap reports and admin responsibilities as required.
• Managing the delivery of prize packages and merchandise for competitions.
• Input into the development of offline and digital title media plans
• Act as a pod liaison with internal departments (Partnerships, Publicity, Creative Services, Trade Marketing, Digital, Catalogue, Legal, Insight, Games and the core Marketing team) to ensure that all activity is executed in line with title specific strategy and maximises cross-divisional touchpoints.
• Co-ordinate the supply of creative assets to external and internal colleagues.
• Review and raise awareness of all relevant digital assets updates throughout a campaign lifecycle.
• Work as a film 'brand champion' ensuring strong communication and collaboration across divisions where appropriate; including Consumer Products, Games, Theatrical & Home Ent Sales and TV distribution
• Work with the Retail Marketing teams to maximise title exposure for both Theatrical and Home Entertainment windows
• Ensure relevant Home Entertainment products dates, artwork and release information is communicated internally and that product is set up correctly with key retailers.
• Coordinate and disseminate timely evaluations of relevant consumer media, exhibitor, retailer and competitor developments in the marketplace.
• Develop working relationships with key internal and external marketing contacts.
The Must Haves
• Any relevant marketing experience at an entertainment company, creative agency, advertising/promotion agency or complementary business will be considered - film industry experience is preferred
• The ability to juggle projects & perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to focus with excellent attention to detail.
• A curious approach and growth mindset
• A passion for film, judgement of what captures attention & how to tell a story.
• A team player, able to work within a matrix organization.
• Good communication & presentation skills
• A courageous outlook and interest in what is new and innovative
• General understanding of the different areas of the marketing mix would be welcome.
• Strong IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of digital file formats.
