Game Night Staff: Assistant, Marketing (Part-Time/Seasonal)

Position Overview: The part-time Assistant, Marketing position is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of the Capitals' Digital Media Department. This position will focus on videography, content creation, graphic design, website development, social media and photography.

Responsibilities:
• Assist the Digital Media team with maintenance of the Washington Capitals website content.
• Support the creation and execution of Capitals social media strategy, using standard methodologies to drive engagement and conversation.
• Create and share graphics for social media use.
• Produce, edit, and post videos for team website and social media channels.
• Capture, edit, and post photos for team website and social media channels.
• Assist in the tracking of social media partnerships.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student.
• Innovative, proven self-starter; independent, upbeat, and organized while possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in HTML with prior experience using NHL CMS a plus.
• Knowledge of video production including producing, shooting, and editing.
• Experience creating and editing graphics and images in Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Organized and able to prioritize and problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and housing.
• Availability to work 20 hours per week from October through May.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including during business hours and for games on nights and weekends as needed.
