The part-time Assistant, Digital Marketing is responsible for serving as the content manager for the WNBA Washington Mystics website (mystics.wnba.com) and mobile app.

Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day management of the Mystics website and mobile app.
• Provide support for campaign microsites.
• Serve as project manager for select technology upgrades from third-party vendors for website or mobile app.
• Together with the Senior Director, Digital Marketing, convert the approved content marketing strategy into editorial and publishing calendars.
• Outline key results & dependencies.
• Ensure content timelines consider development, review, and publishing.
• Develop and implement new content for the website and mobile app.
• Write engaging content for news articles, game recaps, newsletter articles, infographics, and other digital formatted content.
• Conduct research on any given topic.
• Distill complex concepts / statistics / language into content that is easily understood.
• Optimize articles for SEO and accessibility.
• Follow brand style and tone/ brand voice.
• Complete all assignments on time and adhere to publishing timelines.
• Publish content to the website using the Content Management System (CMS).
• Update existing content and publish new content within the CMS.
• Use existing templates with customized with CMS tools.
• Help enforce established design and content standards.
• Optimize the user experience on both the website and the app.
• Using CMS-available navigation tools and page templates, organize content to create a positive, user-friendly experience.
• Conduct daily and weekly content audits.
• Regularly review website content to ensure it's accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
• Move completed events from promotional experiences to recap experiences.
• Regularly update the chat bot library of responses to meet current customer needs.
• Using available navigation and page tools, create a positive and user-friendly experience for website visitors.
• Monitor website, especially content articles, and app performance.
• Use Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics and other tools.
• Produce weekly performance dashboards.
• Recommend improvement/enhancements based on analytics.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in CMS; experience with popular CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or Adobe Experience Manager.
• Strong business copywriting and editing skills. Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content.
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Knowledge. Basic understanding of web development technologies.
• SEO Knowledge. Understanding of search engine optimization principles and standard processes.
• Ability to analyze website data and identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to work effectively on a team and communicate clearly.
• Ability to use pre-approved graphic design Photoshop templates to create website graphics.
• Ability to identify and resolve minor technical issues; ability to advance issues and effectively project manage their resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to timelines. Experience with popular project management systems like Asana or Wrike.
• Flexibility to work both in our offices, Monday – Friday, 9am – 2pm as well as select nights/weekends as needed.
• Solution oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Pay Rate: $17.50 USD/hour.
