Washington Mystics Videographer
Location: Washington, DC
Job Description:
The Videographer is responsible for filming, editing, and producing video-based digital content (social & website) for the WNBA Washington Mystics and NBA G League Capital City Go-Go.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Director, Digital Content, on developing and executing video projects.
• Film and edit both short and long-form videos featuring stories about teams, players, corporate, and community partners.
• Attend and film events, games, practices, and community activities.
• Quickly edit videos and incorporate feedback from creatives and clients.
• Ensure all video content adheres to franchise brand standards and voice.
• Work with team members to meet business video goals.
• Identify new digital opportunities to promote the teams on social media.
• Optimize content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, social ads, and the website.
• Manage multiple projects with evolving timelines.
• Use data and analytics to inform content decisions.
• Organize and maintain video files within existing systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of experience in video production/video editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects.
• Experience with motion graphics, color grading, and sound mixing.
• Familiarity with optimizing video for social media (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel with the team as needed.
• Knowledge of video metrics on social media platforms.
• Experience directing on-camera talent.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with high-definition cameras.
Pay Range: $63-71k USD
