Human Resources, Intern (June-Aug)
Summary:
The Washington Nationals are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resource Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of human resources. Under the guidance of our HR professionals, will work closely with our HR team, participating in various projects and tasks to support the overall HR function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Help coordinate the internship program.
• Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.
• Support employee onboarding and orientation programs.
• Assist with HR record-keeping and data entry.
• Contribute to employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
Qualifications:
• Must currently be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
• Successfully pass a background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid identification and reliable transportation to and from Nationals Park.
• Knowledge of baseball and the Nationals organization.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited relevant degree program.
• Must be able to work 90% of the time between June 3 to August 15 (11-week program)
• Proficient in applicable software as applicable
Physical/Environmental Requirements
• Gameday Seasonal: Job requires the employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
