Position Overview: The Associate, Monumental Basketball, Scouting position will support the work of numerous departments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment across the Monumental Basketball. This position will be an active contributor in the day-to-day operations of the Scouting department with a focus on the Washington Wizards Scouting function. This position will exercise strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify prospective player fit for future Wizards players.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate process for acquiring and distributing credentials and tickets to scouts attending games.
• Maintain and update various lists of amateur prospects.
• Manage video scouting and tracking process of amateur prospects and associated statistics.
• Conduct background and biographical research on amateur and professional prospects.
• Design and execute systems to track department processes, projects, meetings, and activities.
• Collaborate with Scouting team to identify poprospective players.
• Support game day responsibilities, including pre-game setup, in-game statistical charting and post-game analysis reporting.
• Work collaboratively with the Monumental Basketball operations groups on projects as needed.
• Direct and support fellow Monumental Basketball Associates on projects throughout the year.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Basic knowledge of Scouting within a basketball context.
• Analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong time management and organizational skills.
• High integrity; dependable and comfortable working with confidential information.
• Strong work ethic, detail driven, creative, positive demeanor, and eagerness to learn.
• Strong people skills and enjoys collaborating with a team as part of something bigger than yourself.
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• This position is a full-time non-exempt one-year entry level associate program to support the Washington Wizards and Monumental Basketball
