Game Night Staff: Mascot Assistant

This is a Part Time Job

The Mascot Assistant is responsible for aiding G-Wiz and the Wizards mascot program at home games and select outside appearances. This role will report to and work closely with the Mascot Manager in driving in-game elements, seat visits, outside appearances, and creating social media content.

Responsibilities:

• Assist G-Wiz at Wizards home games and select community appearances.
• Act as crowd control and assistant to the mascot, including awareness of game progression, in-game scheduling, seat visits, fan requests, and potential hazards.
• Be a fan facing extension of the G-Wiz brand.
• Contribute to the execution of social media content for G-Wiz.
• Carry mascot supplies (autograph cards, t-shirts, flags, etc.).
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to work approximately 20 Washington Wizards home games with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Creative, resourceful, strong decision-making skills. Ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
• Basic understanding of social media platforms and the G-Wiz character.
• Previous experience in sports is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift over 30 pounds for deliveries, costumes, props etc.
• Valid driver's license required.

Pay Rate: $18 USD/hour.
