Whitewater Films seeks a student for an unpaid Internship as the Community Manager and Copywriter for the fall semester.
Lunch and job-related mileage reimbursement included. You must be currently enrolled in an academic program and able to receive credit for the internship with your school. Marketing and communications majors/minors will be given priority consideration.
Start date: no later than the week of January 21st.
Internship schedule: 2 days per week (10:30am-5:30pm) through May 15th.
Location: Ideal candidate should be available to work in person in L.A. for the duration of the internship. Hybrid work schedule may be possible.
Requirements: Candidate must have a car.
The Intern will be responsible for maintaining our brand voice and crafting engaging content for our marketing channels. You will work closely with our Producers to ensure all communications are on-brand and effective.
Seeking someone who is:
• A detail-oriented self-starter with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Passionate and confident in his/her ideas with an enthusiastic, self-motivating work ethic.
• Passionate about film and television content and an avid viewer of both.
• Possess an understanding of the social media landscape as it relates to film and entertainment brands.
• Experience editing videos, creating social cuts, and posting to different social media sites.
• Possess basic photography and videography skills.
• Possess knowledge of creator and editing apps such as Canva, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Drive and its applications.
• Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in the entertainment/media industry.
• Consistently meet deadlines.
• Have a passion for social media and trending topics.
• Familiarity with relevant social platforms, especially Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
• Be up to date with social media trends.
• Have a strong interest in the film industry.
• Must be a current student and must be able to receive student credit.
